Terms & conditions

The terms behind every booking

What applies when a school books a student, parent or staff workshop with Toolbox Education - pricing, cancellations, facilitators, and everything in between.

Last updated: 21 September 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply whenever a school, parent group, or staff group books a workshop with Toolbox Education Pty Ltd (ABN 63 646 777 488), of 146-150 Chapel Street, St Kilda VIC 3181 ("Toolbox Education", "we", "us", "our"). By confirming a booking with us - including by signing a quote - you agree to these terms on behalf of your school or organisation.

2. Our services

We deliver in-classroom Student Workshops, optional Parent & Staff Workshops, a term's worth of follow-up activities with every student booking, and a referral pathway into Toolbox Clinic where more individual support is needed. Full details of current programs are on our Programs page.

3. Bookings & quotes

After you get in touch, we put together a recommended program and a formal quote, including any travel fee. A booking is confirmed once that quote is signed. We then schedule facilitators to match your term dates and class sizes.

4. Pricing & payment

Current pricing for Student Workshops, Parent & Staff Workshops, and our travel fee is set out on our Pricing page and confirmed in your quote. Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

5. Cancellations & rescheduling

We understand timetables shift. Because a late cancellation makes it hard to fill that slot for another school, cancellation fees scale with the notice you give us, calculated against the total quoted price:

If a change is on our end - a facilitator illness, or a scheduling issue we're responsible for - there's no fee to you, and we'll either reschedule or bring in a team leader to cover the session.

6. Class sizes & session length

Sessions run with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 30 students. Standard sessions are 50-60 minutes; we can run sessions as short as 40 minutes or as long as 70 minutes. Outside that range, we'd recommend using the follow-up activities to extend the material, or a different timetable slot.

7. Our facilitators

Every facilitator holds a valid Working with Children Check in their home state, passes reference checks and a multi-stage interview, and is supervised by a registered Toolbox Clinic psychologist and a team leader. If a facilitator is unavailable on the day, a team leader will usually step in directly; on the rare occasion we're short-staffed, we'll combine two classes or reschedule, at no cost to you.

8. Student safety & disclosures

Facilitators are trained in a clear disclosure protocol. If a student discloses something serious during a workshop - for example, relating to self-harm or abuse - an incident report is completed and sent to your school's wellbeing coordinator, usually within 24 hours, so the right support can follow. See our privacy policy for how that information is handled.

9. Photography & media

Occasionally, and only where your school has separately arranged the necessary permission with parents or guardians, our facilitators may photograph or film part of a workshop for our own marketing. We rely on your school's arrangement for this rather than seeking consent directly from students.

10. Insurance

We hold both public liability and professional indemnity insurance. A certificate of currency is available on request.

11. Intellectual property

Our workshop content, activities, and follow-up materials remain the intellectual property of Toolbox Education. Booking a workshop gives your school a licence to use that material for the purposes of the program with your students, staff or parent community - it doesn't give you the right to reproduce, resell, or publish it elsewhere without our written permission.

12. Your responsibilities

When you book with us, we ask that you: provide accurate information about your year levels, student numbers and any scheduling constraints; make sure a suitable space and any required supervising staff are available on the day; and let us know ahead of time about anything we should be aware of for particular students, so our facilitators can adapt appropriately.

13. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Toolbox Education's liability for any claim arising from a workshop booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking, and we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Complaints & disputes

If something's gone wrong, contact us at info@toolboxeducation.com in the first instance so we can work through it directly.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms current at the time your quote is signed apply to that booking; the version on this page at any given time is otherwise the current one.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
